From the country of Plitvice Lakes, The Pula Arena and the Wonderful islands

I'm so belated with posts on European swap, we had organized back in February, so I'm beginning a series of post with my lovely gifts.
The first one is dedicated to two soapmakers from Croatia, totally different by their sensibility, but both excellent.

Here we begin with 'Pepita Sapuni' by Jasminka!

'Pepita Sapuni' by Jasminka

Beautiful packaging, don't you think?
And unwrapped:

Even more beautiful when unwrapped!

On the left, there is a soap with shea butter and smells like rosemary & lavender e.o. combo.
A great combination and I liked the rosemary prevalence, as I'm not huge lavender fan!

On the right, there is a soap called 'Small fig' (is there another english word for this ), with coconut milk and shea butter and fig f.o.
Jasminka did it great, its colours really resemble fig. These soaps had arrived first and I already used them up with a great pleasure! I always feel a bit sad  when used such beautiful soaps up.

Thanks Jasminka for these lovely gifts, they are truly beautiful and I enjoyed them a lot!

The second soapmaker from Croatia is a gentleman, named Vito. Vito is the owner and (self-called) creative manager  of 'Bubbleesh'!

'Bubbleesh' by Vito

As you can see, Vito sent me three soaps, and one in the middle was a quite surprise for me. It is made with lard and since I haven't used it in my soaps I was curious about it . We had spoken before and Vito had known about my wondering. He claims the lard is extremely nourishing and I can confirm that it really feels so silky and smooth. This soap smells manly, which really I don't mind under the shower.

The soap on the right is a salt bar, called 'Mojito Salt Bar'. It is made with salt from Ston, the oldest salt factory in Europe, and perhaps in the world, too. As an additive, this soap contains dried mint leaves. This is the first salt bar I have ever tried. Vito is just a step away from making a contract with this soap factory and make salt bars exclusively for them, so I'm waiting another piece of salt bar to test it (hi,hi)! Fingers crossed,Vito!

Starry 'Ass' Soap'.

The last, but certainly not the least, 'Starry Ass Soap' is a real soap dessert-  a donky milk soap!
It is castille and it is scented with a Camphor tree, Sage, Clary Sage, Rosemary and Frankincense essential oil blend. Smells divine! There is an Anise Star on top, isn't it adorable?  I still keep it on my cupboard, just for the reason to let it cure as long as I can stay away form it, but I'm gonna cut it into two and eventually try one half of it.
Thanks Vito for these lovely gifts, for the surprise and for our long soap talks!

So, these were soaps from Croatia, hope you like them, too.
The next ones come from France, from a lady living on the south and makes wonderful soaps!
Until our next soapy stroy, stay well, cheerful and sudsy!

  2. Very pretty soaps. The star anise soap is very interesting, does the scent from the star anise come through? Can't wait to see what else you've gotten.

  4. Looks like you participated in a great swap, too, Maja! All of the soaps are gorgeous. I love the swirls in Jasminka's soaps, and her packaging is so bright and colorful. Vito's soaps are beautiful, too - the Mojito salt bar sounds interesting, and Starry Ass is a cute name for the anise and donkey's milk soap!
